KOTORI LAB is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the German Act on the Strengthening of Accessibility (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz - BFSG), which transposes the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) into German law.

1. Compliance Status

This website is designed to be compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA requirements, which are the basis for the harmonized European standard EN 301 549 required by the BFSG.

As a private project site without commercial e-commerce offerings (B2C sales), we do not fall under the strict legal obligations of the BFSG. However, we voluntarily strive to provide an accessible and inclusive digital environment for all users.

2. Non-accessible Content

We are continuously working to improve the user experience for everyone. Due to the highly visual and experimental nature of our "Coming Soon" page, some elements might currently present accessibility challenges:

Animations: The continuous falling sakura petals animation may be distracting for some users. (We plan to implement a "prefers-reduced-motion" toggle in the final website).
Complex SVGs: Some decorative SVG graphics might lack detailed alternative text descriptions.
Color Contrast: While we use a high-contrast dark theme, some of our soft pastel brand colors (like Sakura and Blossom) against dark backgrounds might not meet the strict 4.5:1 contrast ratio required for smaller text.

The assessment of the website's compliance with the BFSG and WCAG 2.1 requirements was carried out via a self-assessment by the developer.
